Lorna Briddick is an accomplished team leader with 19 years of experience leading business process management and large-scale process improvement initiatives, with the last 15 years focused on the clinical supply chain. She has successfully led numerous initiatives to re-engineer and optimize clinical supply chain end-to-end processes from design to implementation.

After earning a degree in Electrical Engineering, Lorna entered the pharmaceutical industry through roles of increasing responsibility at companies across several sectors, including Caterpillar, Nicholas Applegate Capital Management, SeminarSource.com, and Stellcom Wireless Solutions.

Lorna joined the pharmaceutical industry as a consultant to Pfizer, where she led a corporate-wide initiative to reduce 2000+ clinical supply chain procedures across 6 countries to 200+ global procedures. Lorna then joined Schering-Plough to lead clinical supply chain optimization, supporting 3 large workstreams that integrated processes across multiple business units. She also served as Global Clinical Supply Regional Lead for Latin America, acting as the key interface between the clinical supply team and clinical operations teams in 9 countries, and responsible for auditing and qualifying depot partners.

Rob is a seasoned executive with 35 years of global experience in Pharmaceutical R&D, focused on clinical supply chain leadership, quality assurance, process re-engineering, and change initiatives.

After earning a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Southampton University in the UK, Rob joined The Upjohn Company as a scientist and has since held increasingly senior roles at Pharmacia & Upjohn, Pharmacia, Pfizer, Schering-Plough, and Merck. His last position before co-founding Brizzey was Associate Vice President, responsible for Merck's global clinical supply chain.

Rob has had extensive experience in clinical quality assurance and laboratory operations, including proposing regulatory specifications and reviewing CMC regulatory submissions for drug candidates. He has a strong track record of optimizing international clinical supply chain operations and a proven ability to forge global relationships across lines and disciplines. An effective change leader, with a track record of helping organizations navigate organizational change without compromising business performance.

During his career, Rob led large clinical supply chain organizations through six mergers, while maintaining business continuity. He has also led a number of high profile process improvement initiatives:

Led a corporate strategic initiative to integrate the clinical supply chains of multiple companies into one effective operating model
Drove multiple cross functional initiatives with clinical partners to optimize planning and delivery of clinical supplies
Negotiated and successfully managed the integration of the commercial and R&D logistics business unit
Established cross functional governance between clinical and clinical supply organizations

Rob delivered a high-energy, comprehensive presentation on clinical trials and their strong link with global clinical supply chain management services. He engaged the broad, cross-functional audience throughout the interactive session, asking and answering questions to ensure comprehension by all attendees – from beginners to seasoned professionals. Justine is a highly accomplished specialist with 19 years of combined UK- and US-based experience in logistics, clinical supply distribution, process re-engineering, and leading change initiatives. A strong track record of optimizing international clinical supply chain distribution processes and a proven ability to forge global relationships across lines and disciplines. An effective integration leader - responsible for helping teams navigate change without compromising business performance.

Justine started her career as the export manager for Orchid Drinks Ltd UK, then moving to Siemens Microelectronics before joining the pharmaceutical industry with G.D. Searle, UK. From there, she joined Pharmacia in the USA (after an assignment with Pharmacia, Italy), where she played a key role in integrating materials management processes during the Pfizer merger.

Justine then joined Schering-Plough, where she led distribution strategy. In this role, she designed, developed, implemented, and maintained a global database detailing clinical trial regulatory and import requirements for 70+ countries, ensuring study teams across the organization planned to a common set of reliable parameters. She also served as the Global Clinical Supply Regional Lead for North America, acting as the interface between the clinical supply team and clinical operations teams in the US and Canada, with a focus on study start-up.

After the merger with Merck, Justine led the seamless integration of a commercial logistics business unit into the research organization, involving 50+ employees, a $5 million budget, and 120+ business stakeholders.

Working for a small biotech, I relied heavily on Brizzey for guidance on pivotal clinical trial activities. This small, personal consulting firm provides expertise with flexibility and humor.
